Working with Past Exam Papers

Parse & Pack was built with students and educators in mind. Dealing with years of past exam papers can be overwhelming; our tools help you organize them into perfect revision booklets.

Building a Question Bank

The most common workflow for exam prep is creating a "Question Bank" by topic.

  1. Upload Batch: Upload the last 5 years of exam papers for your subject.
  2. Define Topic: Use a prompt like: "Keep only the questions relating to 'Probability & Statistics'. Exclude marker instructions and blank pages."
  3. Download: Get a single consolidated PDF containing every probability question from the last 5 years.

Handling Solutions and Mark Schemes

A common pain point is having solutions mixed in with questions or at the very end of a 100-page document.

  • Separate them: "Create two PDFs: 'Exam Questions' and 'Marking Schemes'."
  • Identify them: The AI is great at recognizing the difference between a question page and a solution page based on layout and text patterns.

Pro Tips for Exam Prep

  • Combine and Conquer: You can upload multiple files at once. The AI will process all of them together, giving you a unified output.
  • Be Specific: Instead of just "Math", use "Advanced Calculus" or "Vectors" to get better results.
  • Check the Reasoning: If a page you expected is missing, check the "Reasoning Report" PDF (generated if no matches are found) to see why the AI excluded certain content.
